Whether you’re looking to start from scratch, have your existing lamps restyled or choose a piece from our Lamp Orphanage, We'll work with you to develop a custom design concept and create a statement piece that you’ll treasure for years to come.
How does it work?
First we’ll establish which starting point makes the most sense for you. Next, we'll discuss a custom design concept in person or via telephone or email (depending on where you’re located).
Once a concept has been developed, we'll get to work on making it a reality.
You'll just have to sit back and relax (who am I kidding?) sit on the edge of your seat and anticipate your lamp's transformation.

"I just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks for the fantastic experience I had ordering from Mod Pieces.
I was a little apprehensive about the shipping of my one of a kind pieces all the way to Calgary. I had been looking at the lamps via your online shop for weeks and weeks. Once our mainfloor was finished, I knew that it needed the hit of colour that the dramatic Parker Twins and lovely Jade could provide.
So, with a deep breath, I placed the order and everything from that moment moved effortlessly. Lia, you were attentive to my order with timely emails. I had a confirmation call from the shipping company to make sure I would be at home, the packaging was neat and professional, the delicate lamps were protected and the shades were pristine. Best of all, there was a lovely hand written note included with my purchase which, for me, completed the online experience and made it very personal.
So, a thank you from Calgary. I can't wait to finish our next renovation and introduce another Mod Piece to our home." ~ Melissa Fetherstonhaugh
"Lia was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Quick turnaround, great pricing and insightful advice on the lamp I was revamping. I have and will recommend her to anyone that wants to update their lamps!" ~ Vanessa Francis
"Lia is based in Burlington, Ontario, around the corner from my latest decorating client in Oakville for whom I had sourced some amazing vintage lamps that required shades.
Lia will happily source shades and fabrics for you and/or reconstruct shades that you provide.
For a vintage floor lamp, I found the original shade, but the groovy plaid bouclé was not the look I was after. Lia used the frame and new fabric I provided to construct a shade that better suits the room in which it now resides.
She charged $75 for the reconstruction, an extremely reasonable rate, as anyone who has bought shades recently will know.
She also created shades for a couple of large, vintage ceramic pieces I found for my client’s master bedroom. When the linen I provided read too blue, Lia sourced an alternative fabric and re-made the shades (which she provided) for $150 for the pair. Again, a very good price for custom work.
Lia turned my custom shades around in a weekend, which is remarkably good service." ~ Christopher Jones
